Neo Cairo

Development Status: Released Apr 11, 2006
Last Updated: 25 months ago
Type of Mod: Single & Multiplayer Realistic Sim
More Info

Description: This Mod brings new weapons/maps/pickups to UT. More than that, you'll be able to "pilot" some interesting things... Like a giant Mech, or a neat Spaceship. Also, you can wear some nice suits... Why not a high-armored suit? It's up to you. To complete the set, Neo Cairo brings some new gametypes to fit everyone's taste.

Story: Mankind's exodus from the ravaged Earth has been violently cut short by the collective alien military from a neighboring solar system. Quarantined within the orbit of their own moon, the human race must prove itself worthy to be accepted among their galactic neighbors by restoring their own home world.

Space stations now hang in tender balance containing the cilivilians and military of the once habitable planet. Other alien species, anxious to see mankind fail, smuggle and sell outworld weapons technology, playing different human factions against one another in an effort to promote conflict.

This chapter of our story takes place aboard a group of stations in orbit above Egypt known as NeoCairo.

Features:

  • 4 Mechs, fully loaded with ammunition and bloodlust

  • 4 Suits, working as a kind of "compact mech"

  • 6 Vehicles, allowing you to move faster and destroy any target

  • 9 Weapons, to save your life while you're not driving anything

  • 6 New gametypes to make a great challenge

  • [*]84 Maps included

An old three team deathmatch modification with each team representing different styles of class-based fighting. Teams include 'Artifical Intelligence', 'Rebels', and 'Government Defence'. This mod went off into planning to be one of the first HL2 modifications but never saw day. This profile is to be an archive of this incomplete, but fun game. More details to come.

    NhancedUT

Development Status: Released Oct 10, 2005
    Last Updated: 31 months ago
Type of Mod: Single Player First Person Shooter
    More Info

NhancedUT is a gametype modification for Unreal Tournament that adds bonuses too deathmatch. A variety of bonuses are present, all with their own original voice acted annoucement. A mod menu is also tucked into the package, allowing the change of menu options, which range from scores added when a bonus is acheived, to disabling or enabling a bonus. Scores are also split, isolating the actual score, from your frags in the scoreboard.

Thank you to Nash for recording the voices, and to 1KB for adding effects to them. Due to the addition of new bonuses however, and lack of contact to Nash, the next release will feature new voices.

Apparently there is a bug in the scoreboard, where it does not appear correctly. I am not on the recieving end of this bug. Make sure your version of UT is patched up to the last official patch (version 436) before playing.

    CURRENTLY ONLY PLAYABLE WITH BOTS!

    Nuclear Races

    Development Status: TBD
    Last Updated: 9 months ago
Type of Mod: Single & Multiplayer First Person Shooter
    More Info

Welcome to the Nuclear Races! NR is all about racing Redeemers or anyother weapons you wish. Players race through custom maps while avoiding eachother. You can choose to disable killing to allow players to race without blowing eachother up, or take the hard route and try to race without getting blown up! Some maps are filled with checkpoints which teleport the player to them once their Redeemer missle or other projectile touches it (unless of course they are riding the missle like with Strangelove.) Other maps are a more get to the end without crashing style and lack checkpoints.

A typical race starts once enough players have stepped onto the starting line. The countdown starts when there are enough players ready (about half the current amount of players.) The countdown counts down from 10 and then the race begins! If the map has checkpoints, then players race arround hitting checkpoints until they reach the checkered flag.

The checkered flag gives out points (which you can configure) based on ranking in the current race. Only racers in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd receive the points. The flag can be set to teleport players back to the start or not teleport them at all. Set this to true if your checkered flag is nowhere near the start, and set it to false if your map has the flag near the starting area.

Nuclear Races includes a simple HUD that displays the current lap time, and checkpoint information if you are currently in a race. If you are not racing, it shows your status of either "Preparing" when you aren't on the starting line or "Ready" when you are on the line waiting for the race to begin. If you ARE racing, then it displays your next checkpoint number and the total number of checkpoints in the current map.

Nuclear Races is expected to launch with three all new maps and one classic map from the original Unreal modified for racing.
