hunt prey. shoot prey. stay alive.

Ever wish that you could duke it out with the monsters from Unreal 1? Ever wish that you could make killing monsters a REAL part of the game instead of just "Ooo, look, CTF with monsters"?

Well, you've come to the right place!

Tallyho! is a mod that turns deathmatch, domination, or CTF into a frenzied arcade-style hunting contest. Tallyho! changes the focus of the game; the primary objective, the way to win, and the only way to heal yourself, is to shoot and kill Unreal I creatures and bots, instead of killing other players or capturing a flag or control point.

The action gets intense and scores can reach into the thousands (yes, THOUSANDS) as you, or your team, frantically gather weapons, ammo and powerups and then try to bag the biggest... the most dangerous... or just the most... prey on the map, before other hunters get to 'em first.

And there's no breaks in the action or cruising to victory either! Why? Well, When one minute is left in the game, all the score values DOUBLE! No lead is safe in tallyho!; you have to stay sharp till the final bell!

Also, 'accidents' do happen and a hunter might just end up killing another hunter. IT'S ALL PART OF THE GAME. And remember, if you choose to be a 'llama'*, a llama is EXACTLY what you will be!

Target

Development Status: Released Oct 10, 2005
Last Updated: 31 months ago
Type of Mod: Single Player First Person Shooter
More Info

Target is a small gametype modification for Unreal Tournament. Upon starting, the first player to score a frag is labelled as the Target. Whenever the Target scores a frag, they get 2 frags in return. Killing the Target gets you a whopping 5 frags plus the title of being the Target.

Target is currently in...er...version 1 I think.

Future updates will include a Team version of Target that will have one person who is the Target present on each team.

Anyway, this is a very early mod of mine, so go download for some fun!

Last Updated: 47 months ago
Type of Mod: Single & Multiplayer First Person Shooter
More Info

Have you ever wanted to try a normal weapons vs Instagib DM or CTF game? How about a spam weapons vs hitscan weapons DOM match? How about standard DM where one team has a translocator but no access to the rocket launcher. Or maybe even a game where each team has a different weapon. If you are one of these people then this mutator is for you. It allows you to configure on a team by team basis exactly which weapons players start with, and which weapons and items can be collected.

From here, you are on your own. The arrow keys are the default keys; these are configurable in Options.

There's isn't much to explain. I guess everyone in earth have played Tetris... :P

The Chosen One

Development Status: TBD
Last Updated: 4 months ago
Type of Mod: Single Player First Person Shooter
More Info

Unreal: The Chosen One contains many new features and options.

Basically, it is an FPS, RPG elements are included (with a major influence to the gameplay), but still it's FPS. Experience points are given mostly for completing quests (primary & secondary), their amount depends on the importance of the quest completed. Also, experience is increased for eliminating enemies. This also depends on the adversary's rank - the amount of experience points granted for the kills is very small in comparison to quest awards - it helps, when the player needs little experience to gain a level.

Another major feature is spell casting. Not the idea itself, which already made an appearance in Nali Chronicles, but the spells themselves and the effects caused by using them (e.g. close-up spell, replacing the sniper scope, works with other weapons also).

The story will be presented by numerous engine-powered cutscenes, and of course the immortal LOGs scattered all over the game world.

Features:

---------

- RPG elements that allow the player character to develop

- Non-linear gameplay with lots of alternative paths, maps, quests and so on

- Usable vehicles

- Spell casting system that allows the player to learn magic from the Nali and use it in combat

- New models - weapons, monsters, and lots of new decorations

- Weather simulation system

- Support for music formats such as .mp3 and .ogg

- Realistic sound effects, such as footsteps and falling on various surfaces (sand, rock, wood etc.) and projectile/bullet hits

- Extended moving abilities: climbing onto ropes, chains or ladders

- S3 compressed textures for models and environment (resolutions supported: 512x512, 1024x1024 and 2048x2048)

- Rich and twisted storyline with lots of subquests

- Refreshed classic weapons from the original Unreal, completely new muzzle flashes, weapon upgrades can be added

- Upgradeable character skills (the maximum skill level depends on the skill type)

- Advanced particle system

- New HUD with four variations (Tiny, Small, Medium, Big)
