This little mutator adjusts the damage dealt by a player based on their kill ratio. The better players cause less damage, the worse players cause more damage. The idea is to have a fairer, more fun game. I think it does a good job of handicapping. I looked for something similar but couldn't find one that messes with damage. If it already exists, please let me know and I will pull it down. Oh my website sucks, but it gets the job done. If you use it on a server or know of a server using it, please let us all know. Thank you. |

Return to the West that never was in this genre-blending total conversion for Unreal Tournament 2004. Equipped with an array of steam-powered weaponry, acrobatic skills, and mystic Spirit Powers only you stand against a ruthless, mechanized foe. A self-styled "steampunk fantasy-western," Damnation stands apart, providing the gaming community with not only fresh, new gameplay, but an untapped world to explore as well. Damnation is a new breed of gaming experience. As a first/3rd person action/adventure title, Damnation's gameplay is unprecedented. Combining the immersion and precision-gunplay
of a traditional first-person shooter like Call of
Duty with the navigational puzzle design of
3rd-person adventure titles like Prince of Persia:
Sands of Time, Damnation is a new paradigm in
genre-blending gameplay. |

Story Julia Miller has been dared to enter the Dobson Manor, an abandoned mansion on the outskirts of town. For as long as anyone could remember, breaking into the Manor and reaching the attic has been a rite of passage for all teenagers in town. To many the haunted estate is nothing more than an urban myth... Unaware of the lurking shadows, Julia reaches the attic only to realize that the stories about the house are true. The shadows are alive with an unseen evil that is bound to the darkness. Julia must now escape the house without succumbing to the frightening evil waiting at the edge of the light. Philosophy Dark Corners is a game based on film and visual storytelling techniques. These theories are the cornerstone of the games design. This applies not only to the NIS sequences, but to game play as well. In Dark Corners, the player is put into dark levels that are only lite by small bright lights. This technique utilizes the visual theory known as "frame-within-a-frame". During game play, the user can only see limited amounts of the screen at any one time, this build tension between the on screen light source and the edge of the screen. We are trying to give the player a sense of a bigger world, while only exposing bits of it visually. This keeps the player thinking there is something sinister just beyond the radius of the light. The horror genre can be divided into two schools of thought, gore (Dawn of the Dead) and suggestion (the Blair Witch Project). Building on the "frame-within-a-frame" feature of the game, we decided to go with suggestion. This entailed characterizing the darkness as an entity itself through the use of sound and scripted sequences. The result was the player has to apply a certain amount of closure to the game play and use their own imagination to fill in the visual gaps provding the game with an unsettling nature. "Often it's what you can't see that is scarier than what you do see" The result of the application of these theories was an immersive experience that pushes the boundaries of what is defined as horror in the videogame genre. Mechanics When the player enters the shadows they are
attacked, when they are in the light they are
healed. The player must then escape the house by
solving a series of environmental puzzles that
unlock room. Game progression is handled by giving
the player tools to combat the darkness
(flashlight, flares) and putting them in
situations where they must use them to survive.
Along with tools that game has a linear difficulty
curve mitigated by the introduction of progressive
complications during game play. |

DeathBall is a top class First Person Sport Game that combines elements of Football, Rugby and Handball. It's a mod for UT2004, but it has nothing to do with a shooter (a pure sports game). So you got these football pitches, and you have
to get the ball into the enemy goal. You have a
hammer tool. With that one you can kick other
players around, kill the enemy ballowner with 2
hits and also kick the ball away (volley). |

This is Defence Alliance on the new UT2004 engine. We have learned alot from Defence Alliance on the UT engine, and we hope to bring all the new features and enhancements we wanted from the old engine to the new one. Bigger, better and more thrilling then anything from DA:UT. Stay tuned for news. The main gameplay will remain just like DA:UT.
This time we have given much more focus to the AI
that will support players much better. We also now
give the ability for players to attack. Teamplay
will be very important to win on either side. |

Dodge Professional Modification (DPM) is currently a single player trick jumping mod for UT2004. DPM does not alter the physics, weapons, or jump capabilities of UT2004. This allows players to apply the skills learned while playing DPM to other UT2004 game types. The goal of DPM is to finish specially designed
trick jumping maps as quickly as possible. A timer
tracks exactly how long it takes for a player to
complete one of the DPM maps. Demos are
automatically recorded when the player is ready
and these demo can be uploaded to our site. These
demos will then be sorted and ranked by completion
time to form a world-wide player ranking. |

Domforahn is an fantasy-themed Unreal
Tournament 2004 mod project initiated in May of
2006. A team of students from the Collin County
Community College Applied Graphic Design
Technology program (ccccd.edu) banded together and
began drafting ideas and concept art at that time.
Within days of starting, the University of Texas
at Dallas's Student Game Developers Association
announced a contest that would be taking game
project entries until January of 2007. Domforahn
was entered in their Computer Game Conference
Showcase (cgcshowcase.org) and the development
process went into full steam. The project was
planned conservatively because none of the team
members had ever been involved with a game
development or mod project before. We played it
carefully, and worked our tails off over the last
8 months. (there are currently 5 members on our
team) Now, the deadline is less than two weeks
away (1/26/07) and we are ready to bring the house
down! After the contest, Domforahn shall be
prepared for online distribution, so sit tight! |

'Drawn to be alive' is an adventure/stealth game where the player will have the control of a character made of paper, extracted from a picture by an incredible magic Ink. This Ink was created by a professor who sells the paper creatures at a very high price. The character was about to be destroyed when he suddenly awakes. This is where the game begins. Our little paper boy is lost into this world.
His goal is to find out how he got out of his own
pictural world and how to get back into it. But
he's small, fragile and he doesn't know yet, very
expensive. He will have to be very discrete and
careful. His physical condition is an advantage
for that but also and inconvenient. He's able to
hide behind pices of furniture, into drawings,
slip under doors but the fire, the water and the
wind and even worse the human beings will be his
greatest threats! |

DREAM CASTERS' DUEL is an original, online, multi-player, UT2k4 mod. Dream Casters' Duel will combine elements of a FPS with a barebones fighting game in a stylized, anime setting. DCD will feature:
Synopsis: Lucid dreaming: A
phenomenon in which a dreaming individual is able
to consciously bend the reality of the dream world
to his or her own will, performing, for all
intensive purposes, the miraculous... At the ODRI, researcher Alchem Albrecht has assembled a contingent of test-subjects willing to conduct a foray into the nether regions of human conscious and beyond. The test-subjects all possess the ability to dream lucidly and have been hired to prove their proficiency. Empowered with the latest technology, Alchem Albrecht is able to both challenge and observe the contestants within the dream state. Only the most fantastic dreamers will witness the results of these experiments... Fewer still will come to understand their purpose, and only one will achieve their significance.... Game Play Synopsis: Dream Caster's Duel will combine elements of a FPS with a barebones fighting game in a stylized, anime setting. The POV will be third-person in order to better facilitate hand-to-hand combat. In each map, characters will initially engage each other in hand-to-hand combat, using blocks, parries, throws, punches, and kicks of varying speeds and strengths. Successful hand-to-hand combat will result in an increase of the character's concentration level. Concentration levels can also be achieved by meditating, though meditation will leave the character vulnerable to attack. Different levels of concentration will enable the character to execute varying strengths of telekinesis attacks including projectiles, summons, and cinematic finishing moves. These moves are character specific. See also Game Play Mechanics... More to follow. |
