Final Dawn Realms

Development Status: TBD
Last Updated: 17 months ago
Type of Mod: Single & Multiplayer Role Playing
More Info

Final Dawn Realms is a unique RPG mod for Unreal Tournament 2004.

Final Dawn is a project that started over 3 years ago. Since then, our team members, ideas, and the entire game has changed. Now we're back, with some unique and original ideas for a popular genre.

Final Dawn Realms will be an original RPG with both online and offline options. In offline mode, you can advance through an ongoing story and create a character that will evolve as you progress. In online mode, you can explore the world with friends, complete missions and quests, or play against your enemies in many different realms.

Single player mode will be played offline, and will be a traditional fantasy RPG.This will include a detailed story, which we have been working on since the original project started over 3 years ago. New chapters of the story will be added periodically, and the story will be continually expanding. You will be able to take different paths through this story for many different adventures. The story will be based around the gods of the elements and their realms. You will play an adventurer in a world that has been devestated by the power of magic. But now those powers have been locked away in scrolls. Many people seek these scrolls, for many different reasons. Will you stop them, or will your search them out yourself. Will you use the powers of the scrolls for good, or for evil? Many choices await you...

This will also feature unique character progression, which will be one of the main concepts of the game. While in other games, you would often pick a character class at the start, that will not be the case in Final Dawn Realms. Instead, you will start as a basic character with no particular abilities. You will be able to attack things and maybe use a few basic spells, but you won't be able to do much or use much equipment. As you progress through the game, you will evolve into a stronger character.

But what sort of character you become, depends on your actions. For example, if you spend all your times hitting things with a weapon, you'll probably evolve into a warrior. If you spend more time helping out other characters you're more likely to become a healer, etc. Your character will keep progressing depending on your actions, how you play, and many other factors. If as a warrior, you use an axe, you may become a berserker. But if you choose to use a bow and arrow, you'll evolve into a ranger.

There will also be many "prestige classes" with unique spells and abilities. These will be much harder to unlock, and the way to become one will be much harder to discover. Character will also possess an elemental alignment that will add extra abilities. If you choose fire, you'll be able to attack things with fireballs and similar spells. But with earth alignment, you'll have more protective abilities.

The online, multiplayer mode will include a few different gametypes, which will be shorter games that you can play through with friends. These will be taken from the storyline of the main game, and you will be able to select which chapter you want to play. These chapters will fit into one of a few different game types (subject to much change)

Assault - Work your way through dungeon type areas, killing monsters to progress and evolve. There may be many different tasks and obstacles, such as finding an item, iniltrating an enemy stronghold, or finding and defeating the enemy boss.

Good vs Evil - 2 teams will assume the roles of a good and evil team from the story, and start at different ends of the map. Many obstacles and monsters will stand between you, and you must defeat these to reach the enemy team. Killing the other monsters in the area will help you gain experience and evolve, making the monsters less of a threat to you, and you a much greater threat to the enemy team.

DragonLord - One player will have the ability to become a strong enemy such as a dragon. The other players will hunt down this player and attempt to kill them and their minions. The player that kills them will gain their abilities, and the game continues until one person is dominant.

In the multiplayer mode, players must select a basic class when they begin, and will gain abilities and strengths related to that class as they gain experience. While each mission will contain a specific goal, increasing your characters strength will be very important to completing the mission.

Weapons, items, and other items can also be found throughout the missions, which will assist you. There will also be elemental scrolls hidden, which only a few players will be able to hold. Possessing one of these may help you turn the tables greatly against your opponents, be them monsters or other players.

We hope to create an exciting adventure, taking influences from many different RPGs, and most of all our players. The project is still in it's infancy, but we think our ideas can create a very interesting fantasy game. If you have any suggestions, feel free to let us know!

Fort Constructor

Development Status: Released Jun 20, 2006
Last Updated: 26 months ago
Type of Mod: Multiplayer First Person Shooter
More Info

Fort Constructor is a base building mod for Unreal Tournament 2004. It is based off of CTF, but lets one build forts using Karma objects (Works online!). We have created our own physics based weapon that is similar to the PhysGun from HL2 that are used to build the forts.

There are two modes, Build and Fight, which you can set the time for. There is a wall in the middle to prevent one team messing with the other during build modem, but in fight mode that goes down and you have access to weapons. The bases are fully destroyable but have a lot of HP.

Development Status: Released Sep 30, 2007
Last Updated: 9 months ago
Type of Mod: Single & Multiplayer First Person Shooter
More Info

Fraghouse Invasion is a large collection of new maps, weapons, monsters, skins, models and a variety of other content that has been built from one code twist of the original Invasion. It takes the normal Invasion gametype and gives it a few subtle tweaks that make immense gameplay changes. Monsters are spawned at specific locations rather than player starts, meaning the players can start in a fort structure as a defence from the oncoming hordes of monsters! Version 4 features many new maps, Kung Fu and Impact Hammer melee weapons, Map Monsters (configurable monsters for each map), FHIEXP (a small but fun EXP system), many bug fixes and new monsters and weapons, for example the Spikeball and the Flamethrower.

Furious Steals

Development Status: Released Jan 8, 2007
Last Updated: 18 months ago
Type of Mod: Multiplayer First Person Shooter
More Info

Do you remember the good old days when racing games were about getting from A to B with as much speed and destruction as possible inbetween? Where you could jump in and play without needing to spend hours setting up your tyres, spoilers and decals?

Well, we do. That's why we created Furious Steals - a game where smashing into your enemies is just as important as making it to the goal!

::Features::

* Dynamic environments - full physical interaction with moveable and destructible objects allows for surprise situations and traps.

* Explosive surface dependent effects - sparks fly, dust is churned, the ground tears up and tyres leave their mark behind.

* Arcade physics - vehicles that have been optimally configured for speed and drift allow you to pull off smooth handbrake turns and powerslides.

* Reactive handling - areas of slippery ice and boggy grass really effect the handling of your car.

* Huge, open environments - drive freely around giant cityscapes in checkpoint based races.

* Unique HUD - useful display gives you a rear-view mirror and real-time minimap to optimally plan your attack.

* Highly customisable - Furious Steals gives servers the power to set up their game how they like, by changing the allowed vehicle types and configuring many other options such as physics objects and instant-reset for flipped players.

* Accessible controls - simple keyboard controls allow anyone to pick up the game and play instantly, without worrying about rebinding several pages of buttons.

* Collisions, and lots of them!
