The Awakening is an immersive 3rd-person cooperative multiplayer experience that combines suspenseful action with nerve-wracking strategy. Players must coordinate their efforts against a common foe, instead of competing against each other, if they hope to survive. This combined with a compelling storyline will serve to bring together a tight-knit and dedicated online community. Players take on the roles of civilians who have
survived the initial zombie infestation and banded
together to form a resistance group. Together,
they must rely on their ingenuity and the sparse
resources that are available to hold off hordes of
enemies and look for a possible escape route from
the city. Every day is a struggle to survive --

The Devil's Own is a Mod for Unreal Tournament 2004. It is an FPS war game set during the Napoleonic Era. The War Monger, Napoleon Bonaparte is taking over the world; only England has the power to fight the little Frenchman. You are a 19th century Soldier fighting with musket, sword and advanced weapons. You have "taken" the King's shilling and now you must kick some "Frog". ----------------------- We released the Beta - which featured a few Napoleonic soldiers and weapons. If you are a fan of Michael Moorcock's works,
then you have a good idea of the themes The
OtherSide is trying to emulate. Puzzle solving,
stealth, fighting, horror, role playing are just a
few of the elements, in an eternal battle against
Law and chaos and you the player. Below is a small
intro storyline. "Aye" musses Thangar "The gold, I remember taking the gold and drinking a toast." Thangar's mind is tossed into the guest hall of Lord Curstaff. "A toast to quick rescue of my daughter" Lord Curstaff holds the goblet of fine wine up high as does Thangar and the two toast in unison with a hearty "To a quick rescue!." "So tell me Lord, who has your daughter captive?" asks Thangar. "Death." Replies the Lord. Thangar thinks he misunderstood, "Pardon me Lord the wine must be fuddling me head, I thought the Lord just said Death!" Thangar gives a troubled chuckle. Lord Curstaff gives an apologetic smile, "Indeed the wine is fuddling your mind, yet you heard properly, Death has my daughter." Thangar attempts to rise from his chair, but cannot. Lord Curstaff places his wine goblet on the table then runs a hand across his hair smoothing it back. "Indeed, Death has stolen my daughter." He gestures to the right, "My priests are protecting her body and preparing it for the return of her soul..., which you will find." He walks over to Thangar. "Do not trouble yourself with attempting to rise. The wine is poisoned and you will be dead shortly. Before you go my priests will explain to you about your quest. Worry not your gold will be waiting here for you. May your journey be safe, Sir Thangar." Thangar snaps out of his memory. He shouts "You killed me you bastard!" He is still surrounded by chaos. His memory still vague. He walks aimlessly across the odd terrain; spouts of fire materialize then quickly vanish. Strange lights, sounds and creatures swirl around as if searching for something or someone. Several objects or structures fade in and out of existence, they resemble gateways or portals. Thangar hears a whisper of voices, like an echo from some deep cavern. "Find the portal to Necropolis." Chant the voices. Again his mind is whirled through the dimensions and he sees his body on a marble slab. Robed priests burn incense. In a basin of liquid Thangar sees his own reflection standing in the chaotic environment. He hears the chanting clearer now. "Find the portal to Necropolis, find the portal to Necropolis." The terrain shifts under his feet. A structure not far appears. There are strange glowing glyphs moving on it. As he moves closer to it, some of the glyphs morph into common script and the word Necropolis can be read. Before the portal vanishes Thangar leaps through it. He finds himself on stable ground, strange ground but it is not moving. Before him is a great wood fortification like a giant wheel on its side however it is turning. Behind him are fearsome mists. He makes his way to the fortification. The gate eventually comes into his view; a guard clad in golden armor shouts out to him "Enter Necropolis a haven of Law or wander Limbo in Chaos forever, the price is a mere shred of your soul to enter." As he passes through the gate he feels a pain run through his body as if he has lost something precious to his very existence. On the streets of Necropolis there are beggars everywhere, hands out begging for a mere shred of soul. Of course in the traditions of the Elric saga, like many of Moorcock's works rescuing Lord Curstaff's daughter is not what the Lords of Law and Chaos care about. Originally this mod was being developed in
unreal, this has now changed so that a full stand
alone game can be created. I am in the process of
developing TheOtherSide in RealityFactory, an
opensource game engine, the content of the game
will also be opensource allowing others to modify
it as they please. |

The SoulKeeper is a 3rd/1st person melee combat action multiplayer game. Experience the heat of medieval-like combat, in gorgeous and detailed environments making use of the powerful Unreal Engine. Feel the thrill of hunting down your opponents on the back of a mount of your choice (including dragons and horses). The SoulKeeper will come loaded with
approximately 6 different races, each one with 5
different classes (including wizards and fighters)
each one with different weapons and special
attributes. Every race will have its own
environments, weapons, culture, all related one to
the other in the ever-expanding SoulKeeper
universe. |

This project is completed by two junior Interactive Media and Game Development majors at WPI, Elisabeth Beinke and Alex Schwartz. The WPImap is an Unreal 2004 mod that consists of a 3D interactive model of WPI's campus in photo realistic detail.Another big feature of the mod is an interactive 3d tour of the campus. Outside of the virtual Admissions building, players will notice a Segway human transport vehicle. Upon entering the vehicle, a full tour of campus begins, complete with a virtual tour guide and a scripted path through all of the academic and residential buildings on campus. |

Skirmish:- This is a simple team deathmatch scenario where each team tries to destroy the other team as quickly as possible. This gametype will mostly feature single seat fighters. Battle:- This is a more objective based
gametype where each team must try to destroy the
opposing teams command ship, this can only be done
by hitting its reactor core. Gameplay will require
teams to coordinate escorts for bombers and
defensive as well as interception roles. Convoy:- Convoy is another objective based gametype where one team defends a specific target and another team tries to destroy it. This could be a dynamic moving ship like tanker or cargo vessel or it could be a static objective which must be held against enemy boarders and attacking ships alike. Mothership Assault:- This is the most complex gametype featuring both vehicular combat and fighting on foot. All teams must attempt to hold several key objectives on board their mothership whilst simultaneously attacking the opposing teams mothership.
The mod will therefore feature a wide range of scenarios and will hopefully push the boundaries of what the unreal engine can do. Damage done by small arms is relatively realistic; on average it will take 2 or 3 hits to kill, depending upon weapon. However health packs are still available. Weapon aiming is realistic in that no crosshair is presented; players must press a button to bring weapons up from the hip to bring up the sights, which slows movement and obviously reduces overall visibility. Space combat features true newtonian physics and realistic movement and control. It will be very team orientated with different classes of ships having different specialities. Squads must work together in order to be effective in a battle. Ships: Scout:- This ship is fast and highly manouverable, it features only light weaponry and armour however. 1 man. Interceptor:- not as fast as the scout but features heavier weaponry and armour. 1 man. Bomber:- Features very heavy weaponry but not effective against smaller lighter opponents, this ship is relatively slow in comparison with the interceptor. 2 man (pilot/gunner). Gunship:- This is an anti fighter ship featuring heavy machine guns, it is slow and heavily armed. 3 man (pilot/2 gunners). Minelayer Corvette:- This is a purely defensive ship which can drop static mines, there are 2 types of mines, anti fighter and anti-capital. The ship also features a light machine gun for defensive purposes. 2 man (pilot/gunner) Laser Corvette:- This ship is designed to deal with heavier opponents and boasts dual beam weapons. It also features heavy flak guns which are capable of dealing with most heavier opponents. 3 man (pilot/2 gunners) Shuttle:- This ship has no weaponry to speak of but is reasonably heavily armoured. Its advantage is that it can carry up to 7 players at once allowing for concentrated assualts against targets that require foot assault. Frigate:- This is the largest ship in the game and features enormous amounts of weaponry and armour, it is in itself a secondary objective which must be taken by a team before it is used. It is however very slow and as such will not be able to keep up with the rapidly changing battlefield very easily. 5 man (pilot/4 gunners) Our mod is inspired by such games as homeworld and freespace. The story was inspired by the book 'Spacecraft 2000 - 2100 AD'. **Please note all screenshots are shots of work

Satan has kidnapped the Baby Jesus. Play as God and decend through the nine circles of hell to rescue him. Gameplay style includes jumping puzzles and intense FPS action. The game is roughly (very roughly) based off Dante's Inferno, the nine circles of hell loosely fitting his descriptions. I made this game while taking a Game Dev summer

Troopers: Dawn of Destiny is a Total Conversion
for Unreal Tournament 2004 that crosses the
boundary line between Game and Experience to bring
you an atmospheric, involving, multiplayer-based
tactical first-person shooter set in the fictional
universe that has been at the heart of science
fiction for over thirty years. Sporting an
exciting combination of all-new playable
characters; breathtaking, groundbreaking
battlefields; completely authentic and technically
realistic weaponry; and both old and new modes of
team-oriented gameplay; Troopers completely
revamps UT2004, turning the game into a supportive
platform for a completely new breed of Star Wars
experience. 5 is the current release, but the team
is hard at work preparing more content for the mod
including but not limited to new weapons, maps,
models, and Vehicles. Come experience the galactic
civil war. |
