As many of you can see, the 8th Legion team has been striving to complete most assests, mainly models, before the engine is even out. The attitude the team has taken to the task is a direct and serious one. We realise that it does take more than a couple of years to release a good game and there is no sense in twiddling thumbs until the dev tools comes out. However, the team is still lacking in some departments so please do not hesitate to get in contact with us if you wish to help out.

Angels Fall First: Planetstorm is a team-based planetary assault game fought both in space and on the ground. Maps are linked in pairs to enable you to continue the fight all the way from jumping in your task force through to personally executing the enemy commander in his bunker.
The two superpowers grappling with each other are:
The newly reformed Antarean Empire, an expansionist power still smarting from a humilliating defeat of a millenium ago. led by the young emperor Maruis Lucan Andromedeus XIV they are determined to resist the unification led by the ULP. and to reclaim lost territories. the Antareans are the oldest and proudest colony of man, and also the largest single political entity in the galaxy.
The United League of Planets, consisting of 5 founding nations and assorted fringe protectorates. The ULP was founded by legendary Taurean diplomat Yvette Edrasil after the war against the old Antarean Empire shredded the former core states' political relations. Their goal is a unified galaxy but like any vast bureaucracy they are seen as somewhat faceless and cold by many of the wayward nations they would adopt.
Sensing this tension, the Antarean empire led the call to arms against the ULP, and the galaxy has not seen the end of hostilities since.
2 map-pairs are initially planned with more to follow testing.
AFF-Meudeverre ,
Part 1 - the USN must capture an Antarean station built into a giant ice asteroid and hidden in the surrounding belt. they have the advantage with heavier ships but the station's static defenses are also formidable
part 2 - the USN must proceed to clear and capture the station from the antarean defenders in an all-out marine assault.
AFF-Lukather ,
Part 1 - the AISN must scramble to meet a full frontal USN assault on the planet and prevent them landing troops.
Part 2 - the USN must take the capital city's main starport to secure an LZ for reinforcements.

Take the standard RTS format and extend it into the First Person perspecive. No longer are you isolated from the fight. No longer are you alone. You are on the ground with your troops. Not just that, but those troops are also intelligent players like yourself! Build a land factory and give yourself and your team access to powerful vechicles. Build up a stronghold on the map, but beware! There are others who want to destroy you, crush you into the ground and erase all memory of your existence. What are you going to do to stop them? Do you feel the Apprehension?


Apprehension is a teamplay-oriented combination of the fps and rts styles of gameplay. Players can construct buildings, vehicles, and ai-controlled droids to help them obliterate their enemies. Teams work together, using a shared resource pool which is added to by means of collecting resources on the map and destroying enemy units and buildings.


You have a wide array of choices for putting the hurt on the opposing team. To name a few, you can team up and jump in the Heavy Roamer, a massive multi-seat air assault craft. Or you can send a scout drone to mark a target for the devastator, the tactical nuke with the other team's name on it!


In addition, Apprehension sports a unique weapon system, where players can choose various attachments for their weapons, then tweak the attributes to their liking. Choose any weapon base that suits you. Next choose a secondary attachment by snapping on a grenade launcher, a targeting system or a laser sight. These are but a few of the options available as part of the Apprehension arsenal.

Ashes of Apocalypse: The Embers Dawn

AOA2 is a pre-cursor mod based on the lore and history of AOA1 (a futuristic total conversion for Morrowind). It takes place in the year(s) before the Radion Wars, the same conflicts which left the United Barrier Alliance's Empire in a state of inevitable collapse in the Morrowind mod. Work on this mod for the Oblivion engine was stopped due to the outdated software development issues as well as other engine inadequacies like support of guns and others. This mod will be based on either the Unreal 3 or the Fallout 3 engines, and subsequently should be available for both PC and PS3 players. It will feature our original game play/game building concept of "open ended development", which involves the players in the game creation process on otherwise un-precidented levels! The fan base will have the ability to actively take part in the development of the world, game play and story line evolution through online feedback, along the lines of existing world lore and other team-based update objectives.



 At the moment the project is in pre-production and planning. I am organizing the existing content from the previous development of the project, older content relating to AOA1, planning the development time-table, and writing up a loose story line for proposal to the players. At this stage any kind of dedicated help would be appreciated but most important are writers, web designers, and skilled concept artists.



 The deadline for the end of 2008 is just an estimate. As a project based on a modular release time-table there might be some early versions released as soon as they are deemed ready for community feedback, before the early 2009 eastimate. How ever they will most likely include very limited game world and game play material. Those releases would be more of a technical aspect of the process of "open ended development" and not most likely not actually contain enough material to at that point be called a game. How ever the game itself will be continually updated along this system in small additions to the game world indefinitely, just like any modern MMO.

ASHURA: DARK REIGN


This game is based on a darker perspective of the Sonic Universe, and will be for mature players only. If you're under the age of whatever Unreal Tournament 2007 is in your country, you shouldn't play this game. Like UT2007 it will contain violence, blood, gore, with the off chance of cursing and possibly some sexual references.



A:DR is an Action Adventure Puzzle Horror game, if you can call it that.



..What to expect..

New characters, old friends, new zones, new allies, new foes.

No ripped levels, bosses, vehicles or objects from Sega games.

And most of all NO PLOT HOLES!



..Gameplay..

This isn't a shooter like UT2004, you will have to find objects to use, solve puzzles, and interact with a number of NPC characters to progress through the story. With it not being a first person shooter, we also don't want it to be like Sonic Heroes, Shadow the Hedgehog where you run from A to B jumping and dodging things, so we opted to use the Sonic Adventure playfield setup.

This is a HUGE project and it WILL take along time due to the amount of custom content that needs creation.

Avalon

A slightly sad message for you today - Avalon has stopped production until the release of UT3. Without giving you a full blown post mortem, we have had a few troubles with team morale and organisation over the past few months, which has led me to step down as project manager.


The good news is that it's not over - the team leads will be putting their heads together and hashing out a much more fun, focused game. Once we have a clearer picture of the game both in art and words, we feel production will run alot smoother.
