With BattleRPG each player gets a persistent level and persistent experience. This means the server keeps a database and remembers your achievements permanently. For each point you score you get experience, if you have enough experience you go to the next level:



  • The first 10 levels are very easy to get players to learn how RPG works

  • Reaching level 80 requires some serious playing but is doable

  • Level 100 is tougher to reach

  • Over level 100 it becomes extremely hard




Besides experience and levels you also collect Mana. Mana is not persisent, if you leave the server you lose your Mana. If you collect 100 Mana points you get 999 health, you get all weapons and your Mana is reset to 0.


For each level you get some RPG$. With those RPG$ you can buy abilities. You can press the L button to open the BattleRPG menu and start buying (or selling) abilities.


Currently the following abilities are available (please note server administrators might choose a different setup):


Health bonus

Description: Gives you 10 extra health per level every time you spawn.

Max level: 10 Cost per level: 5


Health regeneration

Description: Regenerates 1 health per level per second up to 200 health.

Max level:5 Cost per level: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25


Damage bonus

Description: Your weapons do 5% more harm per level.

Max level:10 Cost per level: 10


Damage reduction

Description: Weapons harm you 5% less per level.

Max level:10 Cost per level: 10


Vampirism

Description: Per level 5% of the damage you do is added to your health, up to 200 health.

Max level:5 Cost per level: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25


Weapon speed

Description: Gives you 5% extra weapon speed per level.

Max level: 10 Cost per level: 5


Ammo regeneration

Description:

Regenerates ammo for your current weapon at aproximately 1% per level

per second. Only works if you didn't get harmed in the last 5 seconds.

Max level:5 Cost per level: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25


Quick foot

Description: Gives you 5% extra walking speed per level.

Max level: 10 Cost per level: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50


Super jump

Description: Gives you 5% extra jump height per level.

Max level: 10 Cost per level: 5


Dodge jumping

Description: Enables UT2004 style dodge jumping.

Cost: 5

Finally! The type of game you've always wanted to be able to play with a friend; Black Sierra is a cooperative horror survival game. A singleplayer horror experience designed specifically for 2-5 players. With an action packed gameplay, horrorific atmsopher, and an unknown enemy from the deep. Players will be pitted up against small groups of fast, agile and deadly creatures. Quick to take down, but hard to hit. Players will need to work together to make it through the various scenarios as they make it into dark forests, towns and more. Armed with high quality weaponary, such as the popular G36C, and M4 players will soon be required to scavenge civilian shotguns, rifles and pistols as ammunition is decreased. 


Story: 


High in the mountains of Black Sierra, recent mining activities have driven beasts of unknown origin from their underground lairs in fear. Unleashed upon the stocks of the secluded towns throughout the mountain, the creatures who have no reason to fear man spreads through the towns in a feeding frenzy. A few weeks later with various reports of missing persons, a team of Search and Rescue workers are sent up in a rescue effort, during a violent tranmission ending from the Search and Rescue workers, the county issues the mountain under unknown hostile attack. Your squad, a highly trained tactical unit from the state is sent up to the top of the mountain to rescue all personnel and eliminate the threat. After an encounter between your squad and the beasts, objectives are re-issued and it becomes your priorities to make it down the mountain alive. Reversing the usual process of making you start from the beginning and work your way to the end, Black Sierra sends you from the top to the bottom as you are sent from town to town to find any means of escaping the horrors alive.


Features:


- Lock and Load: With a vast range of real world weapons, both civilian and law enforcement related. These weapons will be balanced with the idea of realism, without forgetting what's fun. Weapons will feature various bonuses; iron-sights, red-dot, long lasting workable flashlights.


- Full-Out Atmosphere: Forests will be dense and dark, houses will be fully furnished, and towns will be desolate. Detail is the key, lighting, sounds, objects and more will all be detailed to give off a proper scare.

- Full-Out Cooperative Play: No cheap gimmicks here, each and every map is designed for cooperative play, triggers, creatures, weapons, and more are all designed around the ability to play Black Sierra with friends. After all, cooperative play is a highly over looked experience, and we wish to bring that back.

What is BombingRun? (From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)


Bombing Run (abbreviated BR) is a team-based gametype in the Unreal Tournament first-person shooter series, introduced in Unreal Tournament 2003. It can best be described as Unreal-style American football where the goal of the game is to grab the ball, take it through enemy territory, and score in the opposition's goal. Players can pass the ball to other teammates by launching the ball to them. The ball carrier drops the ball when they are killed. Just like American football's scoring system, if the ball carrier manages to run through the goal or launch the ball into it, the ball carrier's team is awarded with 7 and 3 points respectively. However the major similarity in Bombing Run and American football is the fact that the players of each team wear an excessive amount of armour. The ball carrier regenerates 3 hit points per second until the traditional health limit (100) is reached, but the ball carrier cannot attack while in possession of the ball.


Overview


Bombing Run, as described by the masters of the genre, is an all-out simulation of a generic team-versus-team ball game. BR-Football is just one map in this genre that simulates American football. It is a symmetrical map with 2 goals on either side of the field. This is not one of the stock maps packaged with the game.


In general, BR maps are geometrically symmetric with a single axial plane of symmetry, although this is not always the case. Bombing Run maps tend to have good open fields to pass, which include clever placement of ledges, platforms, etc. for trickjumping. These maps are usually quite big, which allows players to effectively retreat in order to defend one's own goal. Strategic weapon emplacements are also characteristic for the defenders to have an effective weapon to kill the ball carrier; the shock rifle and rocket launcher are favorites in BR and typically placed near the goal, although the offense may see it as tedious. The standard Bombing Run maps are most often played in the nwBR (normal weapon Bombing Run) version of the gametype, which shows how hard it is to make a balanced Bombing Run map. In the iBR (instagib Bombing Run) version, more custom-made maps are played, and tactics are not as effective because one hit with the super shock rifle (the instagib weapon) will instantly kill.


The same dynamics that are felt by football players, basketball players and other team-versus-team ball game players in their real-life games can be simulated and experienced while playing Bombing Run. However, due to the gametype's relatively high demand of physical and mental capacity, it has not gained much popularity and Epic Games plans to discontinue the gametype in Unreal Tournament 2007. Some people did not seem to appreciate maneuverability demands of the gametype. There have been several attempts to revive BR, with new servers which had better ping than the old school jolt server which was the only BR server for a long time in UT2004. BR is currently under another attempt to revive the gametype's popularity; the jolt BR server is not as popular as it once was, but there is a new BR server titled "UUTF & Friends public BR server".


Ball-handling and point system


There are several options that the player is faced with when they pick up the ball. The most instinctive option is to charge all the way to the enemy goal while attempting to dodge every shot for survival. It is very dangerous, but if the player manages to score this way, they (i.e. only the player) are rewarded 10 or 4 points if they run through the goal or launch the ball through it, respectively. Other teammates do not receive points, but the team's score increases by 7 or 3 (respectively).


The ball can also be passed to a teammate. When this is done and the ball carrier scores, the ball carrier's points are again determined by the system explained above. Half of the ball carrier's awarded points are also added to each teammate who had touched the ball during the possession. Hence, for example, if the ball carrier runs through the goal and receives 10 points, each teammate who touched the ball during the possession receives 5 points. If the ball is given to the opposition, the possession is over.


If the ball carrier is killed by an enemy player, the player receives 3 points for the kill plus 12 adrenaline. A ball carrier also receives 25 adrenaline when scoring a goal. In BR, the typical kill results in 2 adrenaline, as opposed to 5 adrenaline per kill in deathmatch (DM).


BR inculcates several key skills that are not predominant in the other gametypes of UT:


* Ball running

* Ball passing

* Field goal scoring

* Blocking

My first UT3 mutator ever!! This mutator makes it so rockets bounce off walls. Very simple. You also have the option of tweaking a few things such as: -Rocket life time -Rocket Speed -If you spawn with a rocket launcher or not -If all weapons/ammo are replaced with the rocket launcher/ammo -If the rockets explode when within the damage radius of a player -You can choose how much the rockets accelerate after each bounce
