Unreal Tournament 2004 was a platform many mods chose to use not only because of the extremely easy to use tools, but also because of the Make Something Unreal Contest in which Epic gave away over one million dollars worth of prizes including an Unreal Engine license. The winner of that prize was none other then Red Orchestra who went on to release a retail version of their mod available both in stores and on VALVE's Steam.
